Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1993:
Gatunek nadmorski, rozmieszczony wzdłuż wybrzeży Atlantyku, Morza Północnego i Bałtyku — od północnej Hiszpanii po południowy Bałtyk, notowany też z południowych wybrzeży Norwegii i Szwecji. W Polsce wykazany z kilku stanowisk nadmorskich, głównie z okolic Gdańska. Zasiedla wydmy piaszczyste, prowadząc w ciągu dnia skryty tryb życia. Postacie dojrzałe spotykano od maja do września wśród traw: piaskownicy zwyczajnej — Ammophila arenaria Link i honkenii piaskowej — Honckenya peploides (L.) Ehrh. Larwy żerują na korzeniach piaskownicy.
