Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1993:
Gatunek szeroko rozprzestrzeniony od Azji Środkowej po południowo-wschodnią część Europy Środkowej. W Polsce znany z kilku zaledwie stanowisk w południowej części kraju. Dane z okolic Przemyśla (Smreczyński 1955) i Pogórza Przemyskiego (Petryszak 1982) opierają się na stanowisku niedaleko położonym za naszą granicą (Trella 1936). Zasiedla biotopy kserotemiczne; poławiano go na słonecznych zboczach rzadko porośniętych tarniną, świdwą i leszczyną. Rozwój nie jest poznany; postacie dojrzałe żerują na żmijowcu zwyczajnym — Echium vulgare L.
