Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1981:
Gatunek północnopalearktyczny, w Europie szeroko rozprzestrzeniony, choć rzadko spotykany; występuje od Wysp Brytyjskich i skrajnych północnych prowincji Fennoskandii aż do środkowej Francji, północnych Włoch, Bośni i Siedmiogrodu, na wschód dociera do Moskwy, Jarosławla, Kaukazu i południowej Syberii. W Polsce notowany z nielicznych stanowisk i niewielu krain. Zamieszkuje zarówno obszary nizinne, jak i górzyste, w Alpach, dociera do wysokości około 2200 m n.p.m. Występuje głównie na terenach lesistych pod opadłym, gnijącym listowiem i igliwiem, w zmurszałym drewnie, wśród mchów i w gnijących grzybach. W zimie znajdowany w gniazdach kretów, myszy, świstaków i chomików.
