Szelegiewicz 1968:
Europa, Zakaukazie, Bliski Wschód, Azja Środkowa, Mongolia, Ameryka Północna.
Gatunek holocykliczny i jednodomny. Monofag na konopiach — Cannabis sativa L. Żeruje na spodniej stronie liści i w kwiatostanach. Notowany jako wektor chorób wirusowych.
