Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1981:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony od południowych części Anglii i Fennoskandii oraz Karelskiej SRR przez całą środkową część Europy aż do środkowej Francji, Włoch i Siedmiogrodu. W Polsce dość rzadko i sporadycznie spotykany przy czym większość danych o rozmieszczeniu oparta jest na znaleziskach sprzed przeszło stu lat. Występuje na terenach nizinnych i w niższych położeniach górskich — w gniazdach mrówek Lasius fuliginosus (Latr.), niekiedy lokalnie masowo poławiany.
