Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 2000:
Gatunek opisany z Francji, mało znany, wykazany dotychczas z Wielkiej Brytanii, Hiszpanii, Włoch, Słowacji, Węgier, Ukrainy, Kaukazu i Kazachstanu; wszędzie spotykany lokalnie i bardzo rzadko. W Polsce stwierdzony po raz pierwszy w 1993 r. (Petryszak 1997); notowany z pojedynczych okazów, zbieranych na pięciu stanowiskach. Gatunek związany z suchymi glebami; występuje na pobrzeżach lasu i zarośli śródpolnych, suchych łąkach, miedzach, ugorach i ścierniskach, poboczach dróg i rowów, na miejscach ruderalnych i nasłonecznionych zboczach. Jest monofagiem na rdeście ptasim — Polygonum aviculare L. Larwy żerują w krótkich chodnikach w szyjce korzeniowej. Pojaw chrząsczy przypada na kwiecień-paździenik. Zimuje postać dojrzała.
