Taxon description
Szelegiewicz 1968:
Europa: Anglia, Niemcy, Polska, europejska część ZSRR.
Gatunek holocykliczny i jednodomny. Monofag na klonie ostrolistnym — Acer platanoides L. Żeruje w dość dużych koloniach na młodych pędach, ogonkach liściowych a niekiedy i zdrewniałych gałązkach. Zawsze odwiedzany przez mrówki. Cykl rozwojowy ciągły, bez diapauzy letniej.
