Taxon description
Szeroko rozmieszczony gatunek w całej północnej i środkowej Europie, notowany również z Kaukazu, Syberii i Ameryki Północnej. W Polsce znany z nielicznych rozproszonych stanowisk. Żyje w chodnikach korników pod korą leżących pni lub stojących obumierających drzew. Prowadzi drapieżny sposób życia odżywiając się jajami korników.
