Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1992:

Gatunek zamieszkujący zachodnią, południową i środkową część Europy, notowany ponadto z Danii oraz ze Szwecji. W Polsce kornik ten jest rzadko spotykany, notowany tylko z pięciu krain południowych. Jako rośliny żywicielskie podawane są: żarnowiec miotlasty — Sarotamnus scopiarius L. (Wimm.), kolcolist zachodni — Ulex europaeus L. oraz gatunki należące do rodzajów janowiec — Genista L. i szczodrzeniec — Cytisus L. Żerowisko jedno-lub dwuramienne. Chodniki larwalne przebiegają wzdłuż włókien, głęboko w drewnie.
