Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1990a:
Rozsiedlony od Francji przez środkową i południowo-wschodnią część Europy aż do południowych połaci europejskiej części ZSRR, notowany też z Algierii. W Polsce chrząszcz rzadko spotykany, znany z nielicznych stanowisk tylko w sześciu krainach. Bionomia tego gatunku poznana jest niedostatecznie. Postacie dojrzałe występują w maju i czerwcu. Larwy odbywają rozwój pod korą obumierających gałęzi jałowca pospolitego — Juniperus communis L., w południowej części areału również w gałęziach sosen i cyprysów.
