Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1974:
Pospolity gatunek, zamieszkujący środkową i północną część Europy, wykazywany również z północnych części Hiszpanii i Włoch, Bułgarii oraz Syberii. W Polsce występuje tylko podgatunek nominatywny. Żyje głównie na otwartych, nasłonecznionych miejscach, skąpo pokrytych roślinnością, szczególnie na glebach piaszczystych i piaszczysto-żwirowych (tereny morenowe), niekiedy z małą domieszką gliny, natomiast unika jałowych wydm ruchomych, notowany dość często z pól uprawnych. W Polsce występuje wszędzie prócz wyższych partii górskich, w zbiorach Instytutu Zoologicznego PAN znajdują się okazy dowodowe ze wszystkich krain.
