Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1990b:

Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony od Pirenejów, Alp i gór Półwyspu Bałkańskiego aż po Wyspy Brytyjskie, Danię i Fennoskandię, gdzie dociera daleko poza koło podbiegunowe. W Polsce chrząszcz pospolity, ale rzadko notowany, z kilku krain brak jeszcze udokumentowanych danych o jego występowaniu. Spotykany w ciągu całego roku na moczarach, podmokłych łąkach i w przydrożnych rowach. Żyje na różnych gatunkach knieci — Caltha L. i jaskrów — Ranunculus L.
