Szelegiewicz 1968:
Szeroko rozmieszczony w Europie, lecz do niedawna mylony z innymi gatunkami.
Gatunek prawdopodobnie holocykliczny. Żyje na korzeniach bylicy polnej — Artemisia campestris L., zawsze w towarzystwie mrówek.
