Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1974:
Gatunek europejski, zamieszkujący prawie całą Europę, nie znany z Półwyspu Iberyjskiego i Norwegii, wykazywany też z Syberii i Iranu. Żyje głównie na pobrzeżach eutroficznych jezior, ale również nad stawami, kałużami i innymi stojącymi wodami, niekiedy wysychającymi w lecie, lubi gleby próchniczne, ocienione drzewami liściastymi lub krzewami, często spotykany na polanach i łąkach śródleśnych.
