Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1974:
Dość pospolity gatunek górski, rozpowszechniony w Karpatach i Górach Bihorskich. W Polsce. Zamieszkuje zwarcie cały łuk Karpat i ich pogórza. Wyspowo wykazany z okolic Rzeszowa, dane z Ojcowa i ze Śląska Górnego są wątpliwe, oparte prawdopodobnie na błędnych oznaczeniach.1) [1) Publikacje Pongrácza dotyczące Ojcowa zawierają wiele fałszywych danych, co stwier dzono niejednokrotnie także w zakresie herpetologii i innych dziedzin faunistyki.]. Zasiedla głównie lasy reglowe, spotykany również na halach i połoninach, w strefie kosodrzewiny, a nawet wyżej wśród kamieni i piarżysk, w Tatrach sięga do wysokości co najmniej 2200 m n.p.m.
