Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1991:
Gatunek obejmujący zasięgiem zachodnią część Palearktyki prócz strefy roślinności śródziemnomorskiej. W Polsce występuje na całym obszarze, ale nie jest jeszcze znany z niektórych krain. Zasiedla pobrzeża wód i cieniste zarośla. Postacie dojrzałe ukazują się wczesnym latem. Jako rośliny żywicielskie są podawane kalina koralowa — Viburnum opulus L. i kalina hordowina — V. lantana L. Larwy i postacie dojrzałe niekiedy żerują gromadnie na liściach kalin niszcząc ozdobne odmiany w ogrodach i parkach.
