Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1986a:

Gatunek zamieszkujący niemal całą Europę z wyjątkiem północnych prowincji Fennoskandii, podawany także z Afryki Północnej, Madery i Kaukazu. Najczęściej spotykany gatunek rodzaju. W Polsce, prócz wyższych partii górskich występuje na całym obszarze. Zasiedla zarówno drzewa iglaste, jak i liściaste, pod korą, których żeruje na grzybni oraz napada na korniki.
