Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986a:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony od Wysp Brytyjskich, środkowych prowincji Fennoskandii przez całą środkową Europę aż do Pirenejów środkowych Włoch i północnej części Półwyspu Bałkańskiego. W Polsce znany z nielicznych krain, przeważnie z pojedynczych stanowisk. Żyje pod korą drzew liściastych, zwłaszcza dębów, rzadko spotykany również na drzewach iglastych. Występuje głównie przy wyciekającym soku, w chodnikach korników oraz w hubach. Odbywa loty w miesiącach letnich, na jesieni znajdowany wśród mchów i listowia przy podstawie starych dębów.
