Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1986a:

[KFP 3338: Rhizophagus parvulus] Gatunek rozmieszczony w północnej i środkowej Europie, zwłaszcza w jej części wschodniej, notowany ponadto z Syberii. W Polsce wykazywany z nielicznych stanowisk rozmieszczonych głównie w południowej części kraju. Zasiedla drzewa liściaste, zwłaszcza brzozy, osiki, topole i wierzby, na których spotyka się go pod odstającą korą, przy wyciekającym soku, w wilgotnych hubach i gnijących grzybach. Spotykany także w żerowiskach chrząszczy z rodzajów ogłodek — Scolytus Geoffr, i rytel — Hylecoetus Latr.
