Taxon description

Szelegiewicz 1968:

Gatunek kosmopolityczny.
Holocykliczny i różnodomny. Migruje z czeremchy — Padus avium Mill, na trawy i rzadziej sitowate: Triticum dicoccum Schrank, Triticum vulgare Vill., Zea mays L., Avena sativa L., Agropyron repens (L.) P. B., Dactylis glomerata L., Festuca pratensis Huds., Phalaris canariensis L. i Juncus L. sp. Na czeremsze powoduje zwijanie się i żółknięcie liści. Notowany jako szkodnik zbóż i wektor 7 chorób wirusowych.
