Taxon description
Gatunek zamieszkujący prawie całą Palearktykę, na północy w Europie znany z południowych części Fennoskandii. W Polsce rzadko i sporadycznie spotykany. Występuje na roślinach z rodzajów Rumex L., Nasturtium R. Br., Armoracia Gaertn., Veronica L., Lepidium L., Polygonum L., gdzie napada na larwy stonek Gastroidea polygoni (L.), Phaedon cochleariae (Fabr.), Phaedon armoraciae (L.) i Phaedon pyritosus (Rossi), rzadziej spotykany pod padliną i ekskrementami.
