Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1976:
Szeroko rozmieszczony gatunek od zachodniej części Europy przez cały jej kontynent i zachodnią Azję aż po zachodnią część Chin, notowany również z północnej Afryki. W Polsce w północnych terenach nizinnych rzadszy niż na południowych podgórzach i górach, gdzie sięga do regla dolnego. Żyje w wodach stojących o dnie piaszczystym lub gliniastym oraz w wodach o słabym prądzie.
