Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1978:
Gatunek szeroko rozprzestrzeniony w niemal całej Europie z wyjątkiem jej krańców północnych, notowany również z Wysp Kanaryjskich, Azji Mniejszej i Syrii. W Polsce znajdowany rzadko na pojedynczych, rozproszonych stanowiskach, tylko na Śląsku Dolnym częściej poławiany w drugiej połowie ubiegłego stulecia, ale od tego czasu brak nowych doniesień. Zamieszkuje głównie tereny nizinne i podgórza, występuje przeważnie pod rozkładającymi się szczątkami roślinnymi, zwłaszcza w słomie, sianie, plewach i nawozie.
