Taxon description

Szelegiewicz 1968:

Europa, Syberia, Azja Środkowa, Anatolia.
Gatunek holocykliczny i jednodomny. Monofag na marchwi — Daucus carota - L., zarówno dzikiej jak i hodowanej. Żeruje wiosną na liściach, które deformuje w bardzo charakterystyczny sposób, latem w baldachach. Notowany jako szkodnik marchwi.
