Taxon description
Europa, północna Afryka, Izrael, Ameryka Północna.
Gatunek różnodomny i holocykliczny. Migruje z róż i jeżyn na trawy i zboża, u nas znaleziony na Bromus L. sp., Poa annua L., rzadziej migruje na inne rośliny, jak Luzula multiflora (Retz.) Lej., Melampyrum pratense L., Vaccinium uliginosum L. Notowany jako wektor chorób wirusowych.
