Taxon description
Prószyński et Staręga 1971:
Nazwę «pubescens» oznaczano wiele gatunków o «omszonym» wyglądzie dlatego też cytaty autorów przed Kulczyńskim są niezbyt pewne, natomiast cytaty opatrzone uwagami w rodzaju «na wilgotnych łąkach» są bez wątpienia błędne. Jest to gatunek pospolity w większej części Polski ‒ «W równinach pospolity; w wyższych okolicach zastępuje go prawdopodobnie A. terebratus ...» (Kulczyński 1881). Żyje na nasłonecznionych pniach drzew, na skałach, murach i płotach. Znany z prawie całej Europy; wzmianki o występowaniu we Wschodniej Syberii i w Himalajach są niezbyt pewne.
