Taxon description
Gatunek zamieszkujący południową i środkową część Europy, wykazywany również z Danii, Skanii w południowej Szwecji, z Syberii i Japonii. W Polsce jest chrząszczem rzadko spotykanym, znanym z nielicznych stanowisk tylko w dziewięciu krainach. Występuje na suchych pobrzeżach lasu, nasłonecznionych zboczach i porębach. Chrząszcze pojawiają się w kwietniu lub maju i przeżywają do lipca. Żerują na leszczynach, brzozach, głogach oraz na różnych gatunkach dębów i wierzb.
