Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1990b:

Gatunek rozsiedlony w Azji Mniejszej, wokół wybrzeży Morza Czarnego, na Półwyspie Bałkańskim, Nizinie Węgierskiej, Słowacji i wzdłuż doliny Dunaju aż po górne dorzecze. W Polsce z całą pewnością nie stwierdzony. Jedyna wzmianka sprzed przeszło stu lat o znalezieniu tego gatunku w Żywcu opierała się zapewne na pomyłce. Do gatunków krajowych chrząszczy nie był zaliczony przez M. Łomnickiego (1913) i A. Warchałowskiego (1971). Wymagania środowiskowe, bionomia i rośliny żywicielskie nie są znane. Postacie dojrzałe poławiano od maja do lipca.
