Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1992:
Gatunek obejmujący zasięgiem południową i środkową część Europy, na północ docierający do Wysp Brytyjskich, Danii i południowej Szwecji, notowany poza tym z Kaukazu i Azji Mniejszej. W Polsce wykazywany z nielicznych stanowisk w zachodniej i południowej części kraju. Zasiedla widne zarośla, pobrzeża lasów i suche wzgórza. Rośliną żywicielską tego gatunku w Europie Środkowej jest lebiodka pospolita — Origanum vulgare L., ponadto we Francji były podawane czyścica storzyszek — Calamintha vulgaris (L.) Druce, mięta okrągłolistna — Mentha rotundifolia (L.) Huds. i mięta nadwodna — Mentha aquatica L. Larwa żeruje w dolnej części łodygi aż do szyi korzeniowej.
