Taxon description

Burakowski et al. 1974:

Gatunek rozmieszczony od południowych prowincji Szwecji i Finlandii, przez prawie całą Europę, aż do północnej Afryki, na wschód sięga po Kaukaz i zachodnią Syberię. Zasiedla wilgotne, gliniaste i szlamiste pobrzeża małych zbiorników wodnych, wysychających niekiedy w lecie. Żyje pod butwiejącymi resztkami roślinnymi, często w towarzystwie Acupalpus (Acupalpus) flavicollis Sturm.
