Taxon description
Gatunek notowany głównie z Europy Zachodniej i Południowej, notowany też z Afryki Północnej; na północ dociera do Szwajcarii, Niemiec i Austrii. Zasiedla tereny górzyste, wykazywany z Alp i Szwarcwaldu. W Polsce stwierdzony w Tatrach na wysokości około 1400-1500 m n.p.m. na podstawie jednego osobnika znalezionego pod płaskim kamieniem w pobliżu potoku. Występuje na ścianach skalnych, szutrowych zboczach, na pobrzeżach strumieni, w pobliżu źródeł i wodospadu, gdzie spotyka się go wśród żwiru, piasku i mchów.
