Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1986a:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony od południowej części Anglii, Szwecji, Finlandii i Karelii aż do krajów śródziemnomorskich, notowany, ponadto z Kaukazu, Syrii, Afganistanu i południowej Syberii. W Polsce znany z nielicznych stanowisk w ośmiu krainach. Zasiedla tereny bagniste, zwłaszcza porośnięte trzciną pospolitą — Phragmites communis Trin. i pałką — Typha L., na których poławia się chrząszcze od maja do września, a później pod skoszonymi trzcinami i trawami.
