Burakowski et al. 1986b:

Rozmieszczenie tego gatunku nie jest dokładnie poznane; notowano go z nielicznych stanowisk w Europie środkowej, Szwajcarii, środkowej Francji, we Włoszech, Hiszpanii i w Ukraińskiej SRR (Kijów) oraz z Afryki Północnej, natomiast brak dotychczas danych z Półwyspu Bałkańskiego, W Polsce jest znany z nielicznych stanowisk w siedmiu krainach, przy czym większość danych o jego rozmieszczeniu opiera się na znaleziskach z ubiegłego stulecia. Poławiano go w martwym drewnie i pod odstającą zmurszałą, korą dębu, topoli, wierzby, kasztanowca, orzecha i wiśni.
