Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1980:
Gatunek rozmieszczony wąskim pasem od południowej Francji przez południową część środkowej Europy aż do Kaukazu i Turkiestanu. W Polsce chrząszcz nadzwyczaj rzadki, znany tylko z jednego stanowiska, od przeszło 60 lat powtórnie nie znaleziony. Omyłkowo podane przez A. Horiona (1967) stanowisko w Galicji Władowice odnosi się do miejscowości Wadowice woj. Bielsko. Wymagania ekologiczne słabo poznane, w Słowacji znajdowany w lecie na zboczach nasłonecznionych pod kamieniami, odstającą korą, w grzybach i na padlinie (Roubal 1930).
