Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1980:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony w południowej, zachodniej i środkowej Europie, wykazany również z Azji Mniejszej i Syberii. W Polsce chrząszcz nadzwyczaj rzadki, znany tylko z trzech stanowisk. Zasiedla obszary pagórkowate i górzyste. Spotykany na polach, łąkach i w ogrodach pod gnijącymi roślinami, ekskrementami i w kompoście, rzadziej w lasach pod grzybami, padliną i przy soku wyciekającym z drzew.
