Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1992:
Gatunek rozsiedlony w południowej i środkowej części Europy, notowany ponadto z Maroka, Algierii, Libii i Libanu. W Polsce chrząszcz rzadko spotykany, znany z nielicznych stanowisk w siedmiu krainach. Jako roślina żywicielska jest podawana pokrzywa żegawka — Urtica urens L., rosnąca na przydrożach, rumowiskach i w ogrodach. Bionomia tego gatunku nie jest znana.
