Taxon description
Szeroko rozmieszczony w Palearktyce.
Gatunek holocykliczny i różnodomny. Migruje z topoli — Populus nigra L. i Populus italica Mnch., rzadko z Populus euamericana Guim. na jaskier — Ranunculus repens L. Na topoli założycielka rodu żyje w zagiętym ku dołowi brzegu liścia, a jej potomstwo na czubkach pędów w liściach złożonych wzdłuż nerwów.
W przypadku gradacji powoduje szkody.
