Taxon description
Prószyński et Staręga 1971:
Gatunek palearktyczny. Podgatunek nominatywny zasiedla znacznie większą część areału, jedynie w południowo-zachodniej Europie i zachodnim skrawku północnej Afryki zastępuje go inny podgatunek, Theridion varians rusticum Simon, 1873.
Żyje w lasach, parkach i ogrodach na drzewach iglastych i krzewach różnego rodzaju.
