Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1995:
Gatunek zamieszkujący północną, zachodnią i środkową część Europy, docierający na południe do Jugosławii, Rumunii i Bułgarii. W Polsce, aczkolwiek nie jest jeszcze notowany z wielu krain, występuje prawdopodobnie w całym kraju, być może z wyjątkiem wyższych partii górskich. Zasiedla pobrzeża wód, łąki wilgotne i rowy. Postacie dojrzałe spotykano w marcu-październiku na jeżogłówce gałęzistej — Sparganium ramosum Huds., jeżogłówce pojedynczej — S. simplex Huds., oczerecie jeziornym — Schoenoplectus lacustris (L.) Palla i sitowcu nadmorskim — Bulboschoenus maritimus (L.) Palla. Na okres zimowy przewędrowują z roślin do gleby. Potwierdzenia wymaga wzmianka podana przez A. Hoffmanna (1950) o rozwoju larw w łodygach roślin dwóch gatunków sitów — Scirpus L.
