Taxon description
Heintze 1990:
Pospolity gatunek, pojawiający się od VIII do X, znany jest wszędzie, gdzie spotyka się stare lipy oraz krzewy lipowe. Gąsienice żerują gromadnie, ukryte pod liśćmi lip w V i w początku VI. Przed przepoczwarczeniem zakopują się do ziemi, gdzie budują oprzędy. Zimują jaja.
