Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1990b:
Gatunek zasiedlający środkową i południowo-wschodnią część Europy. W Polsce notowany głównie z południowej części kraju; jedyna wzmianka sprzed przeszło stu lat o znalezieniu tego chrząszcza w Płocku nie znalazła dotychczas potwierdzenia. Występuje na podgórzach i w niższych położeniach górskich sięgając do piętra alpejskiego. Spotykany od lipca do października na polanach leśnych, połoninach, ścieżkach i pod kamieniami. Żeruje na borówce czarnej — Vaccinium myrtillus L.
