Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1981:
Gatunek holarktyczny, do Europy zawleczony z gnijącymi materiałami z Ameryki Północnej. W Polsce na ogół notowany z pojedynczych stanowisk w poszczególnych krainach, tylko na Śląsku znany z liczniejszych miejscowości. Występuje głównie na terenach nizinnych i w niższych położeniach górskich — w strefy subalpejskie sięga tylko w środowiskach synantropijnych. Znajdowany wśród rozkładających się szczątków roślinnych, w pryzmach kompostowych, gnijącej słomie, sianie, nawozie, pod ekskrementami, na padlinie i w gnijących grzybach.
