Taxon description
Mało znany gatunek górski, mimo opisania go przed około 50 laty z Małej Fatry, następnie notowany ze słowackich Tatr. Podawany ogólnikowo z Karpat z wyższych położeń, powyżej 1500 m n.p.m., z Sudetów i Beskidów. Do chwili uzyskania konkretnych danych z Polski, nie zaliczamy go do fauny krajowej. Zasiedla strefę regla górnego i kosodrzewiny. Łowiony bardzo rzadko, zwykle przebywa głęboko w glebie pod głazami i kamieniami, często na głębokości 50-100 cm. Niekiedy odławiany na powierzchni po długich opadach deszczu, gdy to wypłaszany jest przez wypłukanie spod kamieni.
