Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1978:
Gatunek rozprzestrzeniony od Wysp Brytyjskich i południowej części Fennoskandii przez całą środkową Europę aż do północnych Włoch, Jugosławii i Siedmiogrodu. W Polsce znany z nielicznych rozproszonych stanowisk. Poławiany przeważnie wieczorem, na ogół rzadko i sporadycznie, zwykle pojedynczo, niekiedy lokalnie masowo spotykany na drogach leśnych, w pobliżu starych, dziuplastych drzew, przez T. Trellę (1924) wysiewany jesienią z grzybów. Gatunek prowadzi nocny sposób życia, przylatuje do światła.
