Taxon description
Na podstawie wyrośli podawano go także z Niziny Wielkopolsko-Kujawskiej (Szulczewski 1927, Urbański 1935), Niziny Mazowieckiej (Konopacka 1920) i Wyżyny Małopolskiej (Moesz 1919) oraz ze Śląska Dolnego i Sudetów Zachodnich (Hieronymus 1890) dane te trzeba uznać za nie sprawdzone, gdyż zbliżonego typu zniekształcenia liści rogownic powodują także niektóre mszyce. Znany jest z całej Europy. Żyje na rogownicach — Cerastium arvense L. i Cerastium vulgatum L.
