Europa, Azja Środkowa.
Gatunek jednodomny i holocykliczny. Monofag na wrotyczu pospolitym — Tanacetum vulgare L. Żeruje na spodniej stronie przyziemnych liści, powodując ich usychanie. Notowany jako wektor chorób wirusowych.
