Taxon description
Heintze 1990:
Rzadki motyl, znany u nas z niewielu okolic kraju, pojawia się w dwu pokoleniach: lata w IV i V oraz w VII i VIII. Gąsienice żerują na bukach w VI i VII oraz w IX. W warunkach hodowlanych lęgną się motyle trzeciego pokolenia w X i XI. Zimują poczwarki w oprzędach między liśćmi, jak u wszystkich przedstawicieli rodzaju Platypteryx.
