Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1980:
Rozmieszczenie i warunki ekologiczne słabo poznane. Według dawnych wzmianek występował jakoby w południowej i środkowej Europie, ale część odnośnych danych, również z Polski, może się odnosić do Xantholinus (Acanthophallus) clairei Coiffait, dlatego też występowanie omawianego gatunku winno być potwierdzone nowymi materiałami (Szujecki 1976). Pewne dane pochodzą z Francji, Belgii, RFN, NRD, Austrii i Czechosłowacji.
