Taxon description
Heintze 1990:
Ten wszędzie spotykany i b. pospolity gatunek rolnicy, żyje w dwóch pokoleniach: od poł. V do końca VI i od poł. VII do poł. X. Rolnica panewka (Amathes c-nigrum) jest jednym z przykładów motyli wędrownych. Przylatuje do nas z południa na wiosnę, powiększając w ten sposób liczbę motyli zaaklimatyzowanych w kraju. Po rozmnożeniu się jesienią odlatuje na południe. Gąsienice wielożerne żyją na różnych roślinach zielnych od jesieni i po przezimowaniu do kwietnia, oraz w następnym pokoleniu w VI i VII. Przepoczwarczają się w ziemi w oprzędach.
