Taxon description
Burakowski et al. 1992:
Gatunek występujący w południowej i środkowej części Europy, na północ docierający do Danii i południowych prowincji Fennoskandii, a na wschód po Syberię Zachodnią. W Polsce rozwiertek ten znany jest z nielicznych stanowisk na niżu i podgórzach, nie notowany dotychczas z Sudetów i Karpat. Żeruje głównie na osice, rzadziej na topoli czarnej. Rozmnaża się przeważnie dzieworodnie. Na kilkaset lub więcej samic znajdowano tylko jednego samca. Samica drąży tylko w korze chodnik macierzysty nieregularnego kształtu, długości do kilku centymetrów.
